Nothing here in Houston..it arrived. I confused this one with no new SPG card.

I haven't had anything this year in the UK, and my current membership card has expired. I don't normally need it so it is not a major problem. However the mailings here do seem to be quite late every year

Into March now and I still have nothing. As prior poster noted, not a huge deal at this time.

Angry Go Jump Mr. Sullivan

I was told I was not sent a card because my current one did not expire. I asked to a new card (since it DID expire) and the EEO's.

A new card is in the mail, and The EEO's are not available to be mailed, print them online. No matter whom I spoke with, they would not send them.

Guess that is Platinum Treatment...

The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing!

As a Lifetime Plat I didn't expect or require a new card, but needless to say I wanted the EEOs that would accompany them.

In January I called MR who informed me that EEOs would only be obtainable if a new card was generated. So, they ordred a new card and assured me the EEOs would be included in the package.

Some weeks later I received nothing so I sent a message via the "Contact Us" facility on the website and after getting them to reread my request (which specifically asked for the "real" EEOs because the hotels have so much difficulty recognizing the online printouts (which appear "Less Than Official") I actually received them a few working days later. (See my earlier Post in this thread as to the request I made which led up to my receiving them.)

Yesterday, the card that wasordered back in January arrived. There was a form letter f"signed by Mr. M. "welcoming" me to the Platnium Lifetime ranks as well as a copy of the Elite MR T's and C's brochure - no EEOs.

PS - I'm going to be using a B1G1 Marriott Free Weekend Night EEO this weekend and tried to print a "backup copy" from the site to use if the one I submit is misplaced between check-in and check-out.

When I tried printing it all that appeared was the Marriott logo - nothing else.

I reported it via "Customer Contact".

In their initial (must have been "canned") reply they said that the problem was known and would be addressed on 2/22/07 (which was two weeks earlier.)

They also suggested that I try a "refresh", which I did and it didn't work.

They provided a phone number for IT in SLC which I called and the person who answered asked that I forward to her copies of all correspondence I'd written/received to date and she'd call the problem to the attention of a senior technical person.

I did that while we were still connected and she confirmed she'd received it.

Three days passed and I heard nothing to date (today) so I sent a follow emaial to her. She immediately replied and promised I'd have a resolution within 24 hours.

I'll post the final resolution in this thread when I receive it.

"Platinum Treatment?'

What about "Customer Treatment?"

Without getting involved as to the validity of each and every one of them, the fact is that there are a myriad of issues that have been addressed, and opinions rendered on the threads that comprise this board.

In the very first of Mr. M's blogs, in resonse to comments alluding to FT, responses were posted to the effect that (paraphrase)."Mr. Marriott wants you to know that we do review Flyer Talk and take issues raised there very seriously."

In view of never empowering Chris to the extent required, his essentially "disappearing," and not being replaced, how can they possiblly expect to retain credibility with what the group they constantly refer to as their "most important customers"?

Whatever else is wrong with their program, one thing must be said regarding SPG - their officially sanctioned and empowered "Lurker's" presence, they are at the very least not just listening, but also providing a vehicle for communications that targets and encourages communication with/to those they consider their key customers. .
