2007 Credentials

Just wondered if I was in the minority by not receiving mine yet. Seems like many folks reported receiving theirs back in early January...

blueskeyes Feb 8, 2007 5:20 am

I haven't received mine yet.

I got mine last week.

Not that it matters. I don't think I actually ever use the card for anything except to occasionally read the number off over the phone.

Does anybody actually use their card for something?

I got mine sometime in January which I found in my stack of mail left for me while on a long business trip.

I have actually used my card when in the hotel in the gift shops to get my 10% discount, but other then that I don't remember ever having to get it out of the wallet for anything.

I haven't received mine yet. I figure mine should to be interesting as I only racked up 44 nights last year (counting the 15 CC nights.) But this is my 12th year in the program and I have the nights/points for lifetime Gold (almost there for LT Plat, but still need a few more points). So I am interested in if they will send me something or nothing.

I received mine several weeks ago, surprisingly early, and surprisingly keeping me at PLT after about 30 nights last year.

Just received mine last week. I actually hand them my card and CC when I check in. Just in case they don't have my MR number in the reservation. Seems to occasionally drop when I book thru our travel agency.

I still have not recived mine yet from not only marriot but other programs as well. I also have used the card for the gift shop discount which sort of brought things to a normal price

I ran a little experiment last year and found that if I produced the card with my credit card, I was more likely to receive an upgrade (that hadn't been pre-blocked) or some other special regard than if I didn't.

I know it shouldn't be that way, but that has been my experience...

I am a long time Platinum and have not received my card either. I sent an e-mail to Marriott about this last week, and received a response saying that I should receive the card within 3-4 weeks. We'll see.

For whatever its worth, I got mine (plat) about 3-4 weeks ago. Somewhat earlier than I was expecting.

I received my new plat card a few days ago. I noticed that the new card has a five digit number embossed below my name. Does anyone know what this number is for?

You might want to check out the What is number under my name thread.

Same situation here -- I only had 27 nights and have a brand-new Platinum card valid through 02/08. Not quite sure if I'll come back or not since I haven't checked to see what my MegaBonus is yet.

Didn't get mine either.
