pen paucity?

I go through marriott pens like candy. They're completely ubiquitous at all my client sites.

However, I've noticed that housekeeping has stopped refereshing pens. I always have the two waiting in my room, but they never get refreshed, even with 3-night stays. I've noticed this at all the Marriotts I've stayed at (mostly Courtyards and full Marriotts). Is this a new policy, am I extremely unlucky or has (gasp!) my account been flagged as a pen klepto???

...penless in Atlanta (this week)

A little from Column A and a little from Column B?

I have enough pens that I no longer liberate them. But last week at SHS I used the pen that was on the desk and left it on the couch side table. The next day that pen was still there and a new one was on the desk.

0 for 3 nights at atlanta/perimeter center.

I'd switch to the fairfield but it would mean less points.

(i'm kidding... mostly)

The Courtyards in Australia are dangerous with this. I did a 6 night stay recently, and it got to the stage where I had to request an additional pen.

They gave me 7 pens when I asked tho

If you have ever stayed here, you understand the need to create entertainment and diversion. When I first started coming here, I asked the hotel Concierge if there was anything fun to do in the area and she said, "You can go to the Casino or if you want to go to Canada, they have prostitutes there". So, you see the problem.

In the area: Comerica Park (Tigers); Ford Field (Lions); Joe Louis Arena (Red Wings); numerous restaurants including the brightly lit and lively Greektown area; three casinos, movie theatres; the historic Fox Theater with frequent big name entertainment concerts, the Gem Theater with frequent live theater, the Detroit Opera Theater; within 10 minutes driving is the Mexican area with numerous good Mexican restaurants, the Detroit Institute of Arts; the Fisher Theater with traveling Broadway productions. In addition, right across the border from downtown Detroit is Windsor with numerous restaurants and other attraction. Shopping, however, is mostly in the suburbs, with world-class shopping available at the Somerset Collection in Troy, about a 35 minute drive from downtown, depending on traffic. Finally, Greenfield Village in Dearborn, about a 25 minute drive from downtown, is a world-class tourist attraction. Hope this helps. Sounds like the concierge wasn't interested or knowledgeable.

I worked in the area for almost 6 years. Never made it downtown. We were going to borrow the Company Car (an Abrams tank) for a trip down there, but they wouldn't let us have the keys, so we didn't go.

Oh yes -- they have a plentiful supply of Working Girls in Detroit, too.
