Orphan Points
Well, they're really not orphaned
. I have 31,000 of them.
I've been sitting on these points for quite a bit of time and don't anticipate using them any time soon.
I looked on the website, and there are some conversions available, such as to airlines, but was wondering if you experts had any other ideas or hints to maximize their value. I didn't see anything, but I'm not that familiar with the website & may have missed some opportunities.
I currently "collect" on CO, UA, DL, HH, & Hyatt GP.
Thanks in advance.

Also Marriott allows you to use their points on merchandise, although you don't really receive great value for your points that way.

I looked a bit more and I found the other offerings. I may just launder them through Mexicana to Hilton, where I have a better chance of using them and only lose 10k points.
Thanks.

Not sure what the conversion rate is, but until May 31, any MR points converted to AA miles get a 20% bonus. Must register, search will reveal all.
Don't want AA miles? Neither do I, but...
AA miles convert to HH points, 5000 AA -> 10000 HH

Thanks. I'm going to look into that. I think I can make better use of them in HH. With my existing point balance with HH, plus what I can add from Marriott, I will have enough to redeem for a Disney Park pass.

I did the search for MR -> AA on both marriott & AA - can't find a thing. It's probably because I'm not familiar with either site.
Can someone assisst with a link or at least point me in the right direction?

Many thanks. I'll take a closer look at the pass options and/or trading on CC.

Mary, take a look at the PBI-FLL Meet page. Socrates has arranged a special group rate at the Renaissance in Boca and I believe that it will be the central meeting point for the group.
I don't know if your orphan points are enough to get you a stay there but if not perhaps this one visit would be enough to put you over the top.

Thanks Dov but I laundered them through to AA during the 20% promotion. I'm about to send them off to Hilton.
