Bonus Buck uses

What have you used your bonus bucks for? My company pays for my hotel accomodations so there is no value to me applying it to the room rate and I do not order room service either.

Wellllllllll, you could always put one in(as a gift of course)an envelope you auction on ebay.
Or trade it for somthing you could use on the coupon connection
or give it to a friend(I have recieved lots of these from friends who are on the same boat as you)
Or you could use them yourself on your leisure holiday-the $100 ones can make a big dent in your hotel bill,I used 4 on my 8 day stay in Montreal last week-brought the bill down to under $500 usd including taxes and phone calls.

I gather then that unlike Starwood's ridiculous 50% off coupons, these are actually useful? Do I have to specify at the time of reservation that I will be using them? From the T&C it seems I can't make reservations online if I want to use them. Am I correct? Thanks!

These are not only useful, they are like gold. They are real money for anyone who stays at Marriott or Renaissance hotels and we covet them dearly. If you want to use one, you need do nothing more than present it at check-out.

And yes, you can make your reservation online with no mention that you will be using the BB. Just make sure that if it is available, you get the OTP rate which will (believe it or not) gets you another BB. That one will generally be given to you at check-in so that you will be able to use express checkout. No matter what any other company says about coupons, promotions, double dips, etc., nothing being currently offered compares to this.

I am in the same boat. The last few I had I ended up using to save my company money since there were close to expiring and did not have anyone to give them to. The funny thing is my company never even found out I saved them $200!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So what does anyone have against saving one's company money?
Why should any employer hire employees who had no respect for the company's money?
However, I do believe that employees who do save the corporation's/boss's funds do deserve acknowledgement.

I agree, if I had no use for them I would definitely prefer to save the company a few bucks.

I would agree with you *if* i got those from a stay that my company paid for and frankly, my company has taken away so much from their employees - to give you an example - we work very long hours and we used to get around 10 bucks for dinner if you work past 9... there is not much loyalty to the company. If I don't find a use for this, I would trade or give it to a friend.. my company definitely does not deserve this... esp when it is not recognized. Upper management blows off exponentially more on golf games... my 2 cents.

You GO Jane-this "savings"to your company would probably not make or break them, they are going to spend what is neccessery anyway.See my post above on ways to profit,or reward a friend.

My company foots the bill on a corp AMEX.

But I submit an expense report with the folio I receive under the door.

Then I check out with the BB coupon.

The T&C on theses things say they are to be submitted upon check-IN,so who is having luck with these at check-out?

I had a problem only once submitting them at checkout. The hotels know why people sometimes do it that way. It doesn't really matter to them.

Other ways to use them

You could always use them on Gift Shop purchases of souvenirs or massages or other spa services.

It sounds like you need to find another job.
