I can't say I agree. I get a bunch of "perks" at work and I do not mind using these to save the company a few bucks IF I do not have anyone to give them to. I know companies nowadays are taking a lot from their employees but it is not my case.

If I don't find a use for this, I would trade or give it to a friend.. my company definitely does not deserve this... esp when it is not recognized. Upper management blows off exponentially more on golf games... my 2 cents.

Quick ? - I am staying at a full service Marriott next week (Sun. and checking out on Fri.). My company is paying rates ranging from 169-209 night. If I pay with a Visa will I be given bonus bucks? How much should I ask for?
Thanks.
Thanks.

....or start your own company and quit slaving for 'The Man'...
It's certainly worked for me, although now all travel expenses are coming out of my pocket and I LOVE Bonus Bucks--I've been trading my domestic and intl. UA upgrades for them and using them almost every week in HK and NY. Definitely trade them for something you can use!!!

However, if one were to do a search using a 50 mile radius of a major metro area -- such as SF -- which I have done, you will notice that sometimes the OTP rate will come up for some selected hotels mid-week, as well. If the OTP rate is available during a mid week stay, even for 1 night, you should get the $100 bonus bucks.
BUT, you must be able to book an OTP rate in the first place, regardless of the day it might appear. Therefore, if no OTP rate is bookable because it is either sold out, or just not offered by the property in question, or because of the days of your stay at that hotel, you will not get the bonus bucks -- unless the front desk staff wisehes to bestow upon you a gift.

When it's not possible to use Bonus Bucks for business travel (I'm assuming that your hotel stays are direct-billed in some manner and you can't do this), I always have a weekend trip or two when I can use mine. Used one just last week in Hawaii when I added a few days of R&R onto a business trip, and will be using another next weekend in San Antonio.
