I used to do an average of 4 nights a month in a Courtyard where I loved everything about the place, the staff, location, everything. Then they launched the Bistro . A new Embassy Suites opened a few blocks away. Moved to Embassy. The Bistro is just hateful

This reminds me why I avoid most Courtyards. I'm Marriott Gold and Hilton Diamond and earlier this week I needed a DCA hotel. The CY was $122 and the HIX $132. I went with the HIX because being Diamond means a cooked to order breakfast included in the room rate and then as much to go coffee as I want. The CY would have meant dealing with the crappy bistro which is not how I want to start my day.
