Hi All

I was several nights short after being platinum for many years. I don't remember ever getting a message about being renewed for platinum or getting the e-mail about buying back to platinum. Right now it is still showing platinum elite (which I believe should last till when? end of February?) I was hoping to at least get a soft landing. Anyway to know what the status is without calling.

They will not tell you this - even if you call. You can lay it on the line - say "I'm planning my stays for 2016 and want to confirm my status.." What I got told in this case was "your current status is xxx!" Ok, that's not what I'm asking, "What is my status in December 2016?" Marriott: "Well your current status this month is.." Enuf said :)

To get at least some status information w/o calling - go to Marriott rewards site and now they are showing the options to buy status if you didn't get it..
