This has likely been mentioned in other threads, but I can 100% confirm that Platinum Premier status is possible in RC Rewards -- I've had it for two years. Also, there is one major difference between it and Platinum (at least for me, because there are varying reports on this) -- comped United Gold Elite.
Btw, Someone posted a link up thread to RC Cobalt status. This is not the same thing. Cobalt is far superior to any other hotel status I've ever seen and it is not possible to earn -- it is granted.
