I chaired the Chicago Seminar Event charity raffle this weekend, and trying to run the Chase Sapphire card through the Amazon square type swiper was definitely a PITA. It's so thick & heavy & with the chip in it, it kept catching in the middle of the swiper.
Someone mentioned he was thinking of canceling the card & didn't know how to cut it, and I remembered reading this thread so I told him to call Chase & get the envelope sent to him.
