Combining points and free night cert
I feel really stupid to have to ask this, but I can't figure out how to book a two night stay where the first night uses a free night cert and the second uses points. I would be happy to make two separate reservations, but when I do that the second night shows there are no available rooms, even though searching for the two nights together finds rooms that are available for both nights.
Do I have to call in? Surely there's a way to do it online.

So far Marriott has only allowed mixing payment with cash & points calling it their Cash & Points program. Only issue is each night must be settled using only one payment method, cash or points. No ability to pay for a single night with a combination of cash and points.
