I have tried to compare 2 rates and the comparison includes breakfast and marriott.com is room only. I don't care about the breakfast so I'm ok giving it up to get a lower rate (breakfast means nothing to me), and I got my LNF approved without breakfast.

Bottom line: I don't think I will bother with LNF rates again. It certainly seems to wipe out any goodwill that comes with being a platinum guest.
I thought a LNF rate had to be like/like, so don't see why breakfast would be excluded. LNF is just a price adjustment.
Others have reported nice upgrades & elite recognition when they've been on LNF rates, so not sure if you're just having a string of bad luck. And depending on how cheap one gets a room, not getting an upgrade isn't the end of the world (but that's just my take).
Cheers.

I've gotten a couple of smokin' LNF rates. Both times, the FD person has said something like, "Wow, that's a great rate!" No denial of any plat benefits, or poor treatment so far. But, my sample size is small.

Vivastay is a voucher site, so is agoda. Check the site before filing a claim, and if it's for a hotel in the US or Canada, then there is no such restriction. If it's the case, reply to the rejection email and tell them that it is wrong.
