I have two stays during this promotion but don't have any others planned until September. Double points isn't going to get me to spend a few extra nights for that. If it was the usual two nights gets a free night the wife and I would plan a couple of out of town weekends.

For those whose points have posted, what did they look like in your activity list?

This is what a posting for me looks like. Note that I did not take the 250 platinum amenity on this reservation. If I had it would have made the "extra" increase to 2,730.

Courtyard Some City
06/DD/14 - 06/DD/14
6,200 points
(2,480 base + 1,240 elite+ 2,480 extra)

Second didn't work for me either, and promo page shows me "67% there".

Big disappointment as it was my most expensive stay of the year -- and I slipped in the first one because of others' getting it on the second.

eh well. YMMV.

No "extra points" as a result of recent extended second stay. Unfortunate.

I had a big 4 night (6,500+ base point) stay last week that just posted as my 2nd stay, and I did not receive Double points. Wish it would have, as it would have been a nice bonus, as I wont likely have huge stays for rest of promotion at Marriott this summer.

I have the promo with the double points "after the second paid stay" as well and just completed a second stay, no bonus points for me either. Their wording in the T&C is the same as previous mega bonus promotions which was a free night "after your second paid stay". Worse some members look like they got the bonus points after their second stay, now later on in the promotion, others aren't.

Glad to see it's not just me.

I intend to contact customer service about this, usually they are pretty good. Once time a Fairfield charged the wrong credit card and I complained and got 5000 points for something that really wasn't a huge deal.

I've been booking hotels for a number of business trips this summer and I have to say that the current Megabonus promotion is a big yawn - almost insulting. I'll stay at Marriott when the location & price make sense but this promo is not going to get me to go out of my way to stay with them.

Am I crazy for thinking that 'after the 2nd stay" means I would get bonus points for the 2nd stay? That's how MegaBonus is usually worded, too. My 2nd stay posted, but no bonus. I guess I messed up.

Since some people are getting bonus points on the 2nd stay but others only on the 3rd stay, is it possible that are two slightly different versions of that bonus? None of the people who reported either seem to have posted their T&Cs, so it's hard to be sure whether everyone has exactly the same.

(I don't have either. I got, and stuck with, the 25 nights for 45k bonus.)

The T&Cs for my offer state:

"Marriott Rewards members who register for this promotion by July 31, 2014 will earn double points after the second paid stay - up to 25,000 bonus points for stays made between June 1 and August 31, 2014, at participating Marriott properties."

So I won't start getting double points until my 3rd stay.

I'm not sure it means what you think it means. It could mean -- and I think it probably does -- that after your 2nd paid stay, you will receive double points for that stay (and for subsequent stays during the promotional period).

My Promo Status bar shows a scale from 0 to 3. It currently is sitting at "2" and states "Your Progress: 67% there".

And so far I haven't received any double points from my 2nd stay (which was June 21st.) But I'm more than willing to let Marriott give me double points for that stay.
