I have just been searching the forum for any threads and posts on the Club Marriott card (which used to be the Marriott Gold Card).
The last ones I can find are from early 2012.
I am just planning our next long trip to Thailand later this year and wondered if anyone has details of the 2014 cost / benefits and whether they believe it is worth considering?

It's a bit simpler to book now as they seem not to care about the vouchers anymore. The various dinner for 2 vouchers make it quite worthwhile by themselves. I get most my value from some really nice rates and the 2 for 1 dining benefit.

If you plan to spend any amount of time in Marriott Resorts (and especially if you eat on property) the dining discounts make the card fairly good value.
50% eating when there are two or you makes it tempting to stay in the Hotel Restaurants especially when there is a good variety.
Vouchers and room discounts are good if you can use them too.
