Here is the threads on Budapest and Prague.

I have stayed at the Budapest FS and the Prague FS (twice). Both are very nice hotels with very good CLs. Both are very centrally located. My stays were before the Boscolo properties joined Marriott.

The view from the Marriott Budapest is unbeatable but the Boscolo is a much nicer property and they are generous with upgradings to MR elites.

Not only the view from the rooms, but even more so the view from the terrace of the Executive Lounge. Overlooks the Danube, Gellrt Hill, the Citadel, and you can see the castle and Chain Bridge. Evening/dusk is especially nice, particularly when enjoying a complimentary adult beverage.

I've stayed at the Full Service, Courtyard, and Boscolo properties in Budapest. They are all great and you can't go wrong.

FS Marriott - Probably best location. Nice lounge with amazing views.
Courtyard - I remember it seeming very new and had a great breakfast. It is probably the least expensive of the properties as well.
Boscolo - By far the nicest. As a Platinum I was given an amazing room probably one of the nicest upgrades I have had with Marriott.

+1...

The 2 best upgrades I've had,

Champs lyses Marriott. 3 floor suite overlooking Champs lyses.
Boscolo Budapest. Sumptuously decorated suite with a huge bath.

I get the feeling I got very lucky in Paris, but at Budapest it's the norm for Plats...

The Boscolo Budapest is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in...see my review below.

I've stayed at the Courtyard Flora in Prague. It's actually a very nice property and only two stops on the subway from downtown. I stayed there because it was so much cheaper than the FS downtown. I paid $60/night during Aug'11. The Marriott FS was more than double the price. The cost of eating in Prague is so reasonable that it doesn't pay to shell out additional for CL access at the FS. Just my opinion...

PS: Oh, and yes, I'm cheap...at times.

I loved the Boscolo in Prague. It's in a great location which is a 3-4 minute walk from the bus station for the Airport Express (AE service) which costs just 60czk each way. It's also close to the Jindrisska tram stop or the Namesti Republiky subway so great for getting around.

The suite was great with high ceilings, a Nespresso machine in the room and breakfast was superb. I stayed on a MR exclusive suite upgrade rate which was good value.

It varies. I've seen CY more than FS at times & sooner than '11. The FS was renovated within the last 2 years & yes does have a CL, which has good food/drink offerings. Plus it's in a good location The FS will only upgrade to exec level for free - they pro-actively sell the suites, even to elites. If there is a large price differential & one doesn't care about CL access, then the CY is certainly a good alternative.

Cheers.
