Both the Renaissance St. Croix and the JW Mariott Panama Beach & Golf Resort look very nice. Can anyone tell me their experiences with these resorts? They have easy access from NYC, and look beautiful in the pictures.
Update- also adding in scrub island as a potential destination.
My choice may come down to which resort treats platinum members the best.

I think I have decided on the Renaissance St. Croix.
Is there a best day to arrive on? I am pretty flexible, so did not know if I should arrive on the weekend or during the week.
