Only difference I'm seeing is the splash page, everything else (account, hotel list, etc) is still the old style, I guess it's a step. If they'd just fix the dang "you need to login before you can do anything" issue I'd be happy.

Most of the pages accessed through links are the same, but there seems to be more direct access to information pages directly through the homepage, rather than having to go to an intermediary page.
Some of the existing pages seem to match this new homepage, while others seem to be in the "moving and dropping boxes" style that never made sense.
As stated previously, IMO, a vast improvement. Let's hope they move forward changing the rest of the site.

Chrome displays the new one as of Apr 21.
I made an award reservation for a stay on points - the bed preference is so hidden - I missed it the first time and I had to cancel and rebook.
Also the availability of 'hotels nearby' has moved to somewhere new.
I guess I need to get use the new one.

Say it isn't so. Marriott actually reduced the number of mouse clicks to get to meaningful information. Now all they have to do is redo their Change/Cancel Reservations section to get rid of having to click the mouse 3 or more times to get to a reservation detail. What a PITA. It used to take 2 mouse clicks, 1 click to get to the list of reservations and then 1 click to see the reservation details. New Coke, you gotta love it.

I finally got it to work after logining and then putting http://www.marriott.com/marriott/index_h.mi in the url bar. My first impression is why it has changed again. I am just used to the new one from 1-2 years ago and now it will take that long to get used to this one...

THe old site came up for me because the address was cached. I cannot make a reservation from the old site - when you hit the "find" button on the old site it hangs.
New site worked fine, accessed from the link in this thread.

I cleaned my cache and when I pulled up the website this morning to check something, it still brought up the floating boxes website (using Chrome). I didn't try making a reservation though, so can't report on the hanging.
Cheers.

I hope they did some thorough testing to include regression testing which has been their downfall in the past. Add new feature which works great, but kill a few other things in the process. As I said, time will tell.

The front page is clearly designed for tablets and not for laptops, as you first think that you got version intended to visually impaired person.

IE has the old card format with city, state and country fields.
I am not seeing the new un-carded format at all unless I go click on the link from the previous post.
One only needs to look at Marriott IT's track record to wonder what they are thinking/doing. So far the changes appear to be benign, but still strange that there are multiple changes going on to 2 different home page variations none the less.

Haven't tried accessing the website from my tablet to see if it's different.
Cheers.

FF20 is fine for me. A single location field, but when I click in the single field, state, country, etc., all appear.

Previously if I wanted to see hotels in Jordan, I would select Jordan from the country field. Now I just enter Jordan in the location field. I do see this as an improvement as there are less key strokes, which means 2 less fields to navigate (tab) through.
