I see, but that is not the floating boxes/cards screen I was discussing. Hence the reason they differ.
In my case I was responding to Sharon's post which was discussing the floating boxes/cards web site as shown below. That home page, the floating boxes/cards one, has also changed and now in my case on FF only has the location field which does not morph additional fields. On IE, as mentioned in my previous post, the OLD floating boxes/cards home page is displayed with three City, State and Country fields.
Did you notice the reservation box no longer has city, state, country... just one field called location now. Seems OK at first glance, but time will tell.
I hope they did some thorough testing to include regression testing which has been their downfall in the past. Add new feature which works great, but kill a few other things in the process. As I said, time will tell.
Again I will ask; so what is going on with Marriott IT and the myriad of home page variations.

OK, I just went to the home page found at the link provided in post #7; which, while it is similar in format to the images in CPRich's post above, it doesn't morph the State and Country fields, but instead has two long fields neither of which have labels, both only the little search magnifying glass on the right. Both fields do list look ups of destinations based on ones input.
I don't like that one at all as the two identical search fields are confusing and the date fields are a bit quirky too as the arrows that bring up the calendar cover up the next field. Weird. It looks like a java page I might have constructed in my intermediate java course, before the instructor showed me how to do it correctly. LOL
All of the above is on FF 20.0.1.

WHY
Surprised not to see anything here about the new Website design....
I actually like the new site. It's pleasant to the eye, intuitive and makes lots of stuff easily available. Kudos, Marriott. Given the colossal cruster fluck that was the last design change, it's a little shocking to see such a good effort this time.

IME, it works very well with Safari and very well on Macs (Chrome). It does not work well in IE, and works kinda well on Firefox. And I'm using too many browsers right now, but that's due to another bad IT department's issues. (My company, which will not allow us to upgrade to a recent IE version.)

looks like yet another website change, but where's the "site" link (that used to be in the upper righthand corner)??

New site for me - started last night - on FF22. IE still brings up the old site.
Top left corner. A sub-/super-set of the links for 90% of needs are there, and the full "site map" is at the bottom, to reach the legacy layout.
After about 5 minutes of orientation, I find the new layout much more functional.
