I think the matter is settled. The GM addressed the issue, comped the room, gave bonus points etc.
But . . . at this point our opinions don't matter. The OP didn't feel rightfully compensated, and you can't tell folks how to feel. Thanks OP for letting us know how it progresses, god forbid we ever stumble on any of those nuggets in one of our rooms someday, we'll have a basis of how to handle it. But OP, continuing on about how you are dissatisfied will get you the comments you see above. No one can fully relate to what it'll take you to be satisfied at this point. Reporting what happened and how it resolved matter-of-fact is gold. Reporting how you "feel" and what you personally think is "fair", well, sometimes duck and cover. |

As far as compensation, I believe that three free nights would be appropriate under the circumstances as it was a two bedroom unit and five adults total were inconvenienced. That's not evening taking into account my embarrassment in front of my guests. Will update again when/if the GM calls. Give me a break, your rate was $85 for a 2 bed-room suite. Let me guess its a cat1 hotel. The room was comped and 10k is way enough The pts should be enough for another free night there not at The Ritz in Paris, so whatever Cat that Hotel is is the amount of pts you should get Asking for 3 free nights and that room be comped , I now fully understand why you were Embarrassed in front of your guets and it had nothing to do with what was found under the desk |
