That is what they said to me on the last promo too. But I called in very late... where most people report the same issue.

As mentioned in my T&C post above, there is no CAT 5 Cert promo until the US links, only under UK links. So, I think this CAT 5 Cert is only for UK members.... well... i didn't check all lang.. but atleast it seems not for US members

I just check a few other lang and they all seems to have this CAT 5... maybe IT forgot to upload the CAT5 for US links:

I usually change to the free certs, not because I can't make the promo. We always seem to find a way to use the certs.

I got the 35K + 15K for 20N/25N. I think I will just keep what I have this time. But, I am going to watch this thread to see how many are successful in switching.

Sitting back to grab the popcorn on this one, let the moves begin.

Huh? My points offer was for 35,000 points at 20 nights and 15,000 additional points for a total of 50,000 at 25 nights. Thirty nights aren't necessary.

Marriott phone reps must hate working right after these promos are announced.

I completely agree!^

Sometimes life just sucks.

I think I would consider taking an early holiday break if it were me.

I got the 15+5 nights for 40K points, but just called and switched to the 3 x Cat 1-4 offer. Like others have said - I like the 3 free nights. Depends on where you use them - but there are some Cat 4 Courtyards at $200+ per night at peak times.

I could not get the 2 x Cat 1-5.

What exactly did you say? I definitely failed at achieving your success, when I called earlier

and did you, or any other poster, notice that this time when MC announced the bonus they did it without the cavaet stated in current on-going bonus???

"Promotional offers are specific to each individual Rewards member,
and as a reminder, promotional offers may not be switched."

and we all know how that went...........

Probably not what he said, but who he talked to.

It is starting to look like Cat 5 is limited to out of US addresses? Anyone get Cat 5's whose address with Marriott is in the US?

Ok thanks...I honestly did not catch that statement. Therefore, one would assume that switching would be allowed for the spring '13 promotion. i agree, inconsistency at its finest.
