Contact Marriott, they probably can cancel the certs (their numbered). Always call them to order. The CSR can send them outside of regular mail. Heck, I had them send them to me to the hotel I was going to stay at (so I used them there).

They come in what looks like a large greeting card envelope. I ordered a set on 12/31 also. The postmark shows 1/3 and I received it on 1/7.

Definitely call. You should've received them a while ago.

Finally got around to emailing about returning these. $20 fee applies, probably per set of $1000 (I got 2).

Also noticed an expiration date of 12-29-12 !!! Bet this is going to catch / screw up some last of the year plans! Beware.

Has anybody ordered cheques recently? If so, is expiration date a year from now or is it 12/29/12 as person above me posted? I don't see that info in the terms and conditions.

It has been in the past approximately a year from when you order them. I just ordered some and should get them in a couple of days. I'll update thread when I receive them if someone else hasn't provided feedback on a recent order.

A few days ago I got my most recent batch - they have an expiry-date exactly one year from the day I ordered them (7/12/2013 in that case).

I ordered mine the night before I left for Europe and they were delivered to Marriott Munich where they awaited for my arrival. Dated a year from when I ordered them.

I can say that thus far I am very happy with Marriott Munich property.

I don't understand the question? Every year they have a date on the website of 12/31, and generally sometime later in the year we find out if is going to be continued in the following year.

I guess I had thought that this thread was indicating this could really be the last year for the program and thus I was wondering if anyone knew when this benefit might go away. However, hopefully you are right that it continues. Thanks.

There is never a guarantee that it will continue but it is definitely there until the end of the year.

Marriott Gift Cheques Update?
 
Anyone have an update on availability of Gift Checques?

I know longer see "Platimum Rewards" at the bottom of overview page, this is where the cheques used to be listed.

Are they still available? If so, any news on if they will be passed 12/31/2012?

I see them if you go to Marriott Rewards > Use Marriott Rewards Points > Travel and Unwind > Marriott Gift Card & Certificates. I have no information if they will be extended next year
