With no published benefits, not really much of a level. If they ever do make it a level, I would want some significant benefits such as Club level at Ritz or Breakfast at Courtyard and especially breakfast at all resorts! Then you'd have a level worth going for! And if you do, then you HAVE to have a way to get there for lifetime. Personally, I have no problem with a huge point and night value for that level of lifetime achievement. If the benefits were there, that is. Billy |

It would state platinum premier in the display as well as the x4 code.
P6 = platinum members X5 = platinum 5 star members (some owners and appointees by JW himself) X1 = gold members X4 = platinum premier members |

Does the checkin screens show Plat. Premier elsewhere instead of just the X4 code under requests? For instance, in this screenshot, http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/23516406-post6.html Does it show Plat. Premier where Platinum is or do the agents have to stumble on to the special requests section? Granted, you would look there anyways but it seems like it would be better suited to show it on the status section as well.
That screen shot is the full service PMS and soon to be out of date, this system isn't used at select service/extended stay brands (or all Luxury Brands).....a new Global PMS system is being rolled out to all hotels regardless of brand - I haven't paid much attention to that system as it's just now starting to be rolled out but I'm certain they'll make it easy for everyone to see a guests status |

I have a general question about PP:
I am a RC member who stay Marriott a lot, have two year in a row >150 nights (100 stay + 50 bonus/roll over/spend,etc), and will definately have over 150 nights again by the end of this year. Do you have to be a Marriott reward member in stead of RC member, in order to be promoted to PP? |

It designates you at checkin as ViP level which then depends on the individual property how they handle you.
I could go on. |
impinth06 I have not seen anyone confirm they are in RC and Plat Premier, but I would be surprised if they didn't have a PP level for RC.
That said, you mention 2 high volume years in a row, most people here have reported 3 before making PP. |
JW Phuket
Welcome as our Gold member!
Obviously confused X1 with X4. My question is how does a novice agent get to check in a high priority customer? Anyway. bfst benefit for Platinum in Asia are gone from Resorts. No more. Finished. Renaissance Phuket confirmed they too will not give bfst benefit anymore. JW is being turned into a package tourist middle range destination resort. No linger deserves the JW title, neither does Khao Lak. |

So why does a high priority customer pick a novice check-in agent??? At least in Asia. I don't know if an agent is new or not. |
Are you saying the entire checkin process should be delayed to transfer all Plats/PP's to another agent if they happen to randomly fall on a new agent?
How about just training all agents to handle all types of customers? Or preassigning the best rooms to elites to begin with. All I expect is hi- here's your key- here's a paper describing your benefits. |

Basically. Check in and checkout in Asia both require a credit card for whatever reason. It's not as smooth as in US |

I wonder if anyone else ever noticed that the status bar on the account summary screen would show past 75 nights (to roughly ~130 nights). The green bar would continue past Platinum at 75. Once I hit the roughly 130 night mark (it might have been anywhere between 125-135 nights), it would be completed and disappear. I always (maybe falsely) assumed that was when I would requalify for Platinum Premier for the following year. I wish I took a screenshot before I hit the higher milestone and it disappeared to show what I mean. Has any other PP noticed this?
