new Gold needs help
I qualified gold at the end of 03. Most of my stays are at The Courtyard or Springhill, so the higher level benefits would not apply. I checked into the Marriott Irvine and did not get my room choice (NS King) and was not offered access to the concierge level. Are these privilages automatic or do I have to ask? I booked through the website using my #?

Do you have your gold card yet and did you flash the card?

Have to ask? Should not have too!!!!
As I understand their system, your status is captured at the time of the reservation. If the res was made before you became gold, then the property would not have known you were gold.
