Marriott hotels in IL and WI

Would anyone care to recommend any Marriott hotels (any of the brands) near the McCormick Center in Chicago, and also near Mukwonago, WI?

This will be for one night stays at each location in mid September. I will be traveling with my 13 y/o son.

Thanks!

There are several properties in downtown Chicago to choose from wrt to McCormick. If you've got your son w/ you, you might want to stay at one near Navy Pier.

Can't help you w/ WI question.

Cheers.

Mukwonago - depends on whether you're coming directly from Chicago (Milwaukee is a bit out of the way) or will first be in Wisconsin. Nearest Marriotts are in the Brookfield busy suburban area, which is west of Milwaukee but directly on I-94. Can't go wrong with any of those properties, might be able to find a 7500 point Rewards stay. Mukwonago is a small town. Check out The Elegant Farmer for lunch and local produce/bakery/cheese/apples. In fact, go across the road, jump on a hay wagon, grab a basket, and go pick your own apples from the trees. PM me if you want more info on southern/central Wisconsin.

CHICAGO

Try the Marriott Blackstone Hotel in Chicago its in a great location for you and your 13 year old to go walk around but also a simple cab ride down to McCormick place.

Mukwonago - I would check for hotels near New Berlin, WI (if im not mistaken)

I believe the Marriott Blackstone Hotel is the closest full service Marriott hotle to the McCormick place. If you wanted to, you can walk from the hotel to McCormick place in about 25 minutes. The hotel restaurant Mccat is also my favorite spanish tapas restaurant in Chicago. The hotel is 3 minutes walk from Lake Michigan and 5 minutes walk to the Musuem Campus.

Folks (Chicago), he's got a 13yr old with him!

None of the downtown properties are far by cab from McCormick, so that's a bit of a wash.

Stay downtown where price & location prevails & where he/his son can have fun. If he comes back another time when it's only him, then he can look at Blackstone.

Cheers.
