I have a twist on this - I often share a room with a friend and colleague. We each pay half the bill. I have never been able to reserve with both our MR numbers but, if we arrange it with desk, they are able to allocate half points to both of us.

Another twist and question;
I am reserving 2 rooms at the same Marriott hotel using my name and MR account #. One room will be using reward cert and the being paid by my credit card. Will I still get credit for # nights from the paid room or will Marriott interpret that I physically can only be in one room and that being the reward room, giving me no credit for #nights?
I am wotking toward gold status and want the # nights creditted.
