Marriott Chat

Hello! This is just for future reference.
Marriott chat is available from 7AM-11PM Monday-Friday and 9AM-8PM Saturday and Sunday, central time. There are different ways to activate a chat. For example, if you have been on a screen with inactivity, looking at packages, putting too large of a number in the occupancy that a room allows, or randomly when looking at a list of available hotels, or going to the contact us page. The invites are random and send out about 5 per chat agent.

Was able to use chat for a Marriott Rewards issue a few days ago, but am having no luck today. Rep was very helpful, wish it would pop up more easily...

I used it yesterday, and I thought it was after midnight Eastern time, and was very impressed. I kept forgetting to call in to extend my 2 hotel portions of the travel package, and saw the chat feature. The agent extended both, and I was done in 2 minutes. I didn't really think they would have that ability.

Does anyone know a sure fire way of getting a live chat invite (or at least moving the odds in my favour)? I've found the Marriott chat via the app really frustrating and have been unsuccessful trying to generate a chat screen on the main website.

I have gotten an offer for a live chat in the past when I would linger on the room rates page. My guess is that they assume I am not sure about the hotel and are offering the chat as a way to persuade me to book a stay at a property.

Unhappy Eternal Loop

Hello,

I signed up for Marriott Rewards but I never received any kind of email confirmation with a number. I have tried this several times. If I try to log in with any of my emails I receive the message invalid email or password. I click on forgot password and enter my email address and get the message there is no account. So I try again to create an account and get the message there is already an account with that email address. Please help me get out of this loop. There are three email addresses: [deleted email addresses]. I just stayed at the TownePlace suites Anaheim and want to make sure I get credit for this plus I have two other hotel stays within the next month.

Has anyone tried the Marriott iMessage chat? Sent one after hours and got a auto reply they're closed, tried again during working hours and getting nothing at all...
