Munich Hotels: Marriott or Renaissance
I will be in Munich early next year--any comments/suggestions regarding the Marriott vs. Renaissance Hotel?

I've been at the Marriott and it's "okay" but somewhat remote from the city centre. The train is only about two blocks away, so I got a 5-6 day pass!
No Club Lounge. Decent food, especially at breakfast though the weisbrat/sausage was a bit of a dissapointment. Nice indoor pool & jacuzzi.
If you are by chance going during Fashion week, I'd reserve VERY promptly!

I have been to both this year. They are about the same. The Renaissance is a little closer to the subway (Ubahn, Nord Friedhof stop on the U6)), just steps actually. Both are in Schwabing...about ten minute ride from the old city (Marienplatz).Marriott is a little more compact. Unfortunately, neither have a lounge.
