Marriott Cincy

Does anyone have an opinion on the Marriott on the Riverfront in Cincy. Actually the property is across the river in Kentucky. Wondered about the rooms, staff, ammenities. Am contemplating a stay there, at the present time am booked at the Westin. Any information would be appreciated.

I'm going to Cincy in September for a wedding, and I'm staying at the Hyatt. In addition to my girlfriend, another friend of mine will be staying with me, so I sent the hotel a fax asking if we could get a King room with a sleeper sofa (which most Hyatt's don't have, which is why I asked) or if I could get a rate that I could upgrade using a suite upgrade, because the web is only showing discount rates and you're supposed to pay standard rates.

Anyway, I got a call from their Reservations/Revenue Manager who was very helpful and booked me in at the discounted rate of $119/night into a suite using the suite upgrade coupon, so I was very happy. To top it off I got a call the next day from a manager asking if the fax had been taken care of.

Needless to say, if the service I get from the staff once I am there is anything close to what I've received just making this reservation I will be quite happy!

I'll let you all know how it is once I actually stay there, but things are looking good so far!

It's been over five years, but I'd probably forsake the Marriott here. It was in need of renovation (and maybe since has been) and the location is not too convenient either. As I recall the Hyatt is better and some rooms have nice river views, plus there is a good gym/fitness center/pool area. I'd be tempted to go with the Westin at Fountain Square for better location and service.

I got a flyer from them (with an offer for 2 for 1 lunch or dinner) in the mail. Looks like they completely renovated it etc and just finished recently.

I plan to go to Cincinnati myself (nice drive from Pittsburgh) sometime next month and I'll probably stay there myself... looks like a good location at the very least.
