Points for Extended-Stays
(from the Frequent Flyer Crier)
Points for Extended-Stays
Stays at ExecuStay by Marriott, Marriott's new corporate housing services business acquired three months ago, now earn points in the Marriott Rewards frequent traveler program.
Marriott Rewards members will earn 2 1/2 points for every dollar charged on their stays, excluding tax. Based on a national average rate of $2,400 per month, a 90-day stay with ExecuStay translates into approximately 18,000 Marriott Rewards points.

Here's my understanding: All points accrue to the same account, but threre are 3 recognition programs across 4 brands.
Only stays at Marriott's & now Renaissance count towards Club Marquis elite status, no other brand stays count(no fee).
Stays at Courtyard count towards Courtyard Club Gold ($10 annual fee).
Stays at Fairfield Inn count towards Fairfield Elite status($10 lifetime fee).

I wish that Marriott would consolidate all its properties for elite status. This year I have stayed at Marriott, Renaissance, Courtyard, Residence Inn.

I also stay at Marriott properties and it's great to get Marriott Rewards points for stays at any of the brands. However, my yearly night total would easily get me black level, but there is sometimes not a Marriott and I HAVE to stay at a Fairfield or Residence. I hate not getting credit for those toward the current 5000 bonus point promotion and elite status.

Hopefully Marriott rewards will follow Starwood HOtels and Bass Hotels and start giving qualifying points at all their properties!

AMEN pgupta011, shadow, NilesP, Flyaway etc. Please keep telling Marriott about it. I was asking about the Ren and old Club Ren situation and it not counting with Marriott Rewards from the beginning of their "consolidation." I told tell I wouldn't be staying at many Ren properties very often as a result- and I did not. I actually think it helps them to know especially when we tell them kindly.
