AT&T-Marriott

AT&T just told me that it takes 3 months for points to be posted to Marriott account. Is this true?

I believe it will probably be much faster and they are just being extremely conservative but you can't count on it. My experience however is not from the current calendar year and I usually move it to airline accounts.

I switched over our phone service to ATT on May 18 (to get the 10,000 points). The points posted just early this week (maybe July 12). I was just getting ready to call ATT regarding the points. So I guess it was about 60 days. Good luck

I guess you are both correct. AT&T is probably being extra cautious.

On a good note....I transferred some membership rewards points (I have a US issued Amex, though I live in Canada) to my marriott account last night at 9:00pm ET and, although they do not show on the marriott rewards web site, when I called marriott rewards' toll free number, I noticed that the points have already been transferred.

That was quick!

Flyaway, I was told by the agent at ATT that handles the Marriott points that it takes anywhere from 60-90 days, but look for credits to be posted a lot quicker in the future. She told me it used to take up to 120 days. I didn't mind, since she was very courteous and willing and able to answer each one of my questions, a departure from the rude and unprofessional service I received from MCI.
