Trouble In River City

This afternoon, I went through Biztravel to check my Marriott Rewards balance.

Surprise!

From what I expected to be approximately a half million points, my NEW total is a little over 117,00 MR points.

!!

I fired off an email to them, and will post the results when I receive a reply. Serious st

MAN! Oh, man!

Just got my room service order. I ordered in (advance) celebration, a big-butt steak about 20 minutes ago...talked to my best bud, Stephanie, at room service. Told her the news of my impending departure...room service comes..NO BILL...AND 2 BOTTLES OF MY FAVORITE BREW..Bud!!

NO CHECK...no charge...just best wishes for my new (non-travel) job...

Well, dang. How can I castigate Marriott when they have such WONDERFUL people as Stephanie..

Hafeta finish this when i'm coherent...sorry..

Well, like **burp**

Fine meal at the Marriott..such fine people, who are largely unappreciated by Marriott.. case in point is Stefanie (misspelled her name...it was on the WONDERFUL card that accompanied my meal just now). I sent in a letter praising her a few months ago...they did tell her about it, but LOST the copy !!

Well, enuff of that. What I was about to say in the previous post, was that mperhaps Biztravel is the one dropping the ball here, given their present difficulties. My Starwood profile has not been updated in I don't know hwen, but when I access Starwood directly, the points are correct.

When I get the story, I'll let y'all know if it's Marriott or Biztravel.

Thank you, Marriott folks! You are the best! Would that you were appreciated by Marriott corporate...

the problem is biz.miles

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum1/HTML/001093.html

but it is also Marriott's responsability to solve that problem, as they don't provide any other online access to their point/miles-accounts.

You're right, Rudi. I tried to do a re-check this morning, and couldn't even log in to bizmiles. Kept getting this error:

"Invalid membership name and password combination. Please try again."

It's too bad. I would hate to see them go, but it does not look good for them right now.

totay Marriott's account shows updates and indicates also for the first time on what date the miles have been posted to the airline:

04/23/99 04/24/99 500
BREMEN MARRIOTT HOTEL
Miles Submitted To: LH NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
Date Miles Sent: 05/02/99
the rest (Starwood) is still sleeping for months now (which is not a very good base for the starwood publicity running on that same biz.miles homepage!)

It's one of those good news / bad news situations. I had stays from within the past 10 days posted (unbelieveable) but then I lost 2/3 of my points.

I called Marriott and yes, the points are there, and yes, they have their "top people" working on this.

It's time for Marriott to cut off the hand that keeps slapping their customers around.

Here's the reply I just got from Marriott after sending 2 emails, the first of which was sent 05/03, seven days ago...
---------------------------------------

Dear Mr. Nechetsky:

Thank you for contacting us regarding the discrepancy in your
online
statement balance.

Please be assured that we are aware of this issue and are working
with
bizTravel to correct the problem.

Thank you again for taking the time to let us know of your
concerns.
We will have the problem fixed in as timely a manner as is
possible.

Sincerely,

Darren Kelsey

Correspondence Specialist
----------------------------------------

I hope they get things fixed soon. I am very nervous about nearly 400,000 points "hanging out in space."
