Booking Marriott through aa.com
American Airlines is currently offering 500 miles for each reservation booked (see details below). I am confused as to whether I will still earn Marriott points if I book this way as I know through third party sites (Expedia, Travelocity, etc) you do not receive credit.
I think this is a simple 'no, I will not earn Marriott points if booking through AA.com' but I wanted to make sure so that I don't leave free miles on the table if available.
Earn double miles when you book your hotel on AA.com, and get to your next vacation faster. Simply book and complete your stay by October 15, 2011, and double your award that's 500 AAdvantage miles for every completed reservation.
With AA.com you get access to over 60,000 hotels and our Lowest Price Guarantee^. If you find a cheaper price anywhere on a hotel we'll match it!
Hurry, this double mile offer ends October 15th.

Unfortunately Not
Booking a Marriott stay via AA.com will not give you any Marriott points. You would only be able to earn Marriott points on spending during your stay.
Depending on your situation you would be better off signing up for the MegaBonus 2011 with Marriott and trying to squeeze in multiple stays.

But i think you are entitled to all the other benefits of your status, so make sure that you call the hotel and have your MR number attached to your reservation!!
