Is a week to post points normal? I don't remember it ever taking that long. The website says you can't file a missing stay request until 10.
Does not seem like in this day and age it should take more than a day.
I stayed at Marriott because my collegue wanted to; Sheraton right accross the street would have given me an upgrade, lounge access, plat gift, and posted my points right away. All I got from Marriott is a bill for a $4 water I did not drink.
Not happy if I have to beg for my points.
Marriott v. SPG comparison not looking good.

It can take a while. Across the street? I would've opted for SPG if that was my main hotel program. It's not like you need to be in adjoining rooms.

. Of course after 30 days nothing had posted so I contacted them again and they credited my account manually. My experience is that if after 3/4 days points are not in the account, I have to retro-claim, and at this polish property it happens +50% of the stays.
