Chase cards questions

I am looking for a way to quickly earn MR points (approx 150k) to use for a discount on a cruise next year (the Carnival certificate). Neither my spouse nor I have any Chase cards, and I notice that the Chase MR signature visa has a 50k (or possibly 70k) bonus after first purchase.

My current plan is to apply for a card in each of our names, which if successful would net 140k points (after combining our points for redeeming the reward). If I do this, would it be possible to apply for the business card as well at the same time and get the bonus for that, or can we each only get the bonus one time?

Is there a better suggested path to reach my goal?
