I called MR today and asked for a change of the promotion.. the agent said it would be no problem and within 3 minuts the call was over. I checked my account and it said 5k points after every 2nd stay.... ( max 25k)
So i called again and the agent told me it was impossible to change it now because i am registered already ^_^
She promised to change the conditions on 15th January .. i got a written confirmation of that now....

This is completely normal: I have switched my last few Megabonii via a phone agent. They note the account and then validate your success at the end of the Megabonus period. It seems to work correctly.
I like the Stay 4 / Earn 2 Megabonus. I haven't been doing enough actual EQN at Marriott to hit the 40k point goals. I always have decent (~$200-ish) uses for Cat 4 certs.

No I don't think so. I've done this, and it works very smoothly, in fact now the system can show progress for both points and miles promos at the same time.

They said the also dont have any rates loaded and they could provide me a email for group bookings/meetings/events....
It is still on schedule as far as he could see in the system, should open november this year. gonna try it in December.

it looks like the same as the summer megabonus: 1 free night after 2 stays. but this time, it's worse. It adds "starts at your 2nd paid stay". If I understand correctly, you will get your 1st free night after your 3rd stay, and 2nd free night after your 5th stay. So it is 2.5 stay for 1 free night.
Plus they require you using visa signature card, which implies Marriott's visa credit card, which just increased annual fee, which I don't have.

Really think you're misinterpreting the promo............. if the same as last summers bonus its 1-night after the 2nd and 4th stay, not 3rd and 5th as you state. Further, it's ANY Visa card, not limited to Marriott Visa

No promo yet
I too have no promo- Marriott Gold but staying at higher rate than in past. I am hoping this is because I am on the super secret promo that does not show up in on screen because it is so good that they do not want you to show anyone

I am a Platinum, my wife is a Silver. Both of us received the 25 night bonus offer. As her company has cut most travel for the balance of the year, I emailed on her behalf to switch her bonus offer to the 2 free stays cat1-4 version. Request denied.
Her four stays that take place this fall will be with the companies preferred hotel chain, which is not Marriott. A variance is usually not an issue if there is a tangible benefit As there is none this time......

Plat with over 80+ nights for the year and still no promo showing up for me. All I am seeing is the completed Summer Megabonus.
Am I missing something?

Always call. It's a manual process that involves someone taking personal responsibility for the switch.

You don't happen to have your earning preference set to miles instead of points, do you? A number of Platinums have reported not seeing any promotion until they switched from miles to points.

I just recently changed my address to European and look at what I have gotten:

For miles earners. Good for one night stays, and who do hotel hopping.
