Question on Posting night and getting platinum

Hi All,

So checking out of the Charlotte Marriott Friday morning which will put me at exactly 75 nights for this year. I'm going to Chicago Monday morning and I am hoping my platinum status will be effective (ie my nights post from the previous week to put me at platinum). Do you think this will occur.

Pretty terrible accomplishment to hit platinum at the end of april, but its just my two cents!

Probably not.

But the part that really matters is following your stay at the Charlotte Marriott as that is when you will get the 50% bonus. Even if you don't for some reason, just call in and they will correct the bonus posting and they will also add your 500 Plat Arrival Gift bonus points. FWIW, those are the only benefits where you will really notice a difference between Gold and Plat IMO. Well also the 48 hour guarantee, but that does not really matter under your circumstances since you already have a reservation.

I find most stays post 2-3 days later, so I'd bet it posts Monday morning at the latest (though the LV Cosmo took a week, so there are exceptions).

But your status may still be from when it was reserved so the reservation may need to be "refreshed".
