E-certificates

I have an E-certificates that expires 12/31/10. Can I book a hotel past 12/31/10 as long as I book it before 12/31/10. When I try it seems to let me but I want to make sure.
Thanks

Hello,

The answer is no. The certificate will be considered expired after the expiration date. The hotel will not accept it as a form of payment, because they would not get reimbursed for an expired reward. I would try to use the certificate some time this month before it expires. Also contact Marriott Rewards Customer services. Depending upon which reward it is; you may be able to extend it.

Kind regards,

Marie
