Am I really a Plat?
No, this is not a rollover date accrual question, and I am nowhere close to lifetime status.
I was a Platinum in 2009. I got the 20 night challenge, but did not stay all 20 nights (I think I stayed six or seven nights during that period). I didn't even stay enough nights last year to stay Gold.
I just logged in and saw that I'm still Platinum. It being February 1st, does this mean they gave me Plat for 2010 too?
Don't want to mess anything up by calling and asking and getting some eager beaver knocking me down a level or two.

Status ususally doesn't expire until Feb. 28 of the following year. So if Marriott made you platinum in 2009 it's likely good until Feb. 28, 2010. Call and ask when your status expires, I don't think that's going to bump you down.

My platinum card says valid through 2/10...so I still have 27 days left.
Try again on March 1st.
(It's what Lady Gaga would do.)

Your stats match mine: Missed challenge by two nights and had 49 nights for the year. Marriott did renew my Plat status, anyway. I received the new card in the mail along with a clear explanation that this was based on my past stay pattern. (Probably averaged 85 nights/year for the past four years and was averaging about 8 nights/month from Oct-Dec '09.)
