Thanks. I used Google as browser (vs. Internet Explorer) and was able to get in.

No problem here using Firefox, got in fine, tried again using Internet Explorer, had the problem you described, and could not sign in or do any kind of search.

And that would explain why I can get into my father's account and he can't get in. I have Firefox, he has IE.

Not sure. I just still had same problem with IE and got in with FF and Chrome. Have you cleared caches with FF?

I am using IE7 and not able to access the marriott.com home page (the page appears but can't sign in as the PC is processing heavily). If I bypass the home page, everything works fine.

This is the reason I use Firefox. IE is a resource hog and uses a lot more system resources than Firefox. As I posted in the other thread, Marriott's web site is much slower on IE even when the web site is working properly.

Just called web support

This issue is a problem with Favorites. If you access by typing and not use favorites it works. Additional a patch is going in tonight to fix it fully.

I have the problem in IE7 simply typing www.marriott.com or doing anything that brings of the "floating" reservation search box. Its a good thing I was able to figure out a way to get to a fixed reservation search box or I wouldn't have been able to book a weekend trip yesterday.

I disagree, the issue is a problem with IE period, I tried it every way with IE, favorites or just typing it by hand, or even going in through various backdoors, and all the same result, it does not work. HOWEVER, using Firefox, I had no problem.

I disagree, I see no real difference in the speed or functionality between the new and old format of the website, other than this current glitch on IE. I do not find it faster or slower than it was before the change, and there are four or five things which are more user friendly than before (also one or two which are less user friendly than before), there is only one thing that I dislike TOTALLY, and that is that if I start a search, just to gather some info, and it prompts me to sign in, even if I am not going to make a rez, and I do sign in, it wipes out my search and I have to start over again. This one dislike drives me bonkers!

I can't access the site right now at all. I get to the flash page, but then my courser flashes between an hourglass and a pointer constantly. The flash or something on the main splash page is messing something up. Keyboard entries are not accepted, the only way to get out is to end the browser session through the task manager.
