Bedding in Courtyards -- too thin?
So now that winter has parked itself over the upper-midwest, I'm realizing that in a lot of CYs I'm staying in (Ranging from Moorhead, MN down to Omaha, NE) the bedding is just too little for cold temperatures.
The standard is just a sheet and a very thin comforter, which is more like a heavy sheet. Even with the heat cranked, it still is not enough to sleep when temps are in the negatives outside and the wind chills are even lower.
Does anybody else have this gripe?

There's no extra blanket in the closet? If not call housekeeping and ask for one. No excuse for being cold.

I agree with VickiSoCal! Surely they can provide you with another blanket/comforter or whatnot. "More bedding please" isn't exactly "I would like a pony", is it?

I think part of the problem is that many CY's are still using the same bedding from the round of upgrades in 04-06. I have found the bedding getting more and more worn in virtually all the CY's I have stayed at. The comforter appears to be the same, just washed so many times that there is little thickness left to it. You can ask for a blanket, but don't be surprised if it is a tan "velour" number from the 80's/90's.
