You get the breakfast table which includes coffee, tea, 3 agua frescas, melon, star fruit, pineapple, dragon fruit, rambutons, muffins, charcuterie, various croissants, toast, Spanish cheeses, granola, berries, and some fantastic yoghurt. Everything is high quality.

The yoghurt is seriously the most delicious I've ever had. Pastries are shockingly good too, I believe from the Patisserie at The Bazaar next door. Full review:http://juliesdiningclub.blogspot.com...ley-hills.html

Agree that the continental Platinum breakfast is very good.

This time I'm upgraded all the way up to a Signature Suite. Lots of space, huge bathroom and overall a very well appointed luxury suite.

Why not walk next door to Morton's? It's physically part of the hotel but operationally independent. I like it better than the chic museum of a restaurant the SLS has.

Yes will walk, didn't realize how close. I have some Lawry's money to use.

I have 5 new member Lyft rides to use, they're good for 3 more weeks.

Just had a points stay over the weekend, no upgrade, a very nice well maintained room and got a plat breakfast for me and wifey. While breakfast includes NO hot items, they are excellent breakfast. The proscuitto is especially delicious; must be picked by Jose Andres himself :-). Just remember that if you drive, valet parking is $40 + $4 tax.

Also, across the street is an excellent Korean BBQ place. Just know that you'll smell like a bbq when you come out of that resto.

Do any of the suites you can use a confirmed upgrade for have a second bed?

Hey guys -

Three-night stay coming up later this month; first time in LA since I was four and always wanted to try this hotel. Any feedback on Plat treatment/non-SNA upgrade frequency? Any tips one should know specifically?

Thanks in advance!

This is from a couple years old, but I did use an SNA for a Signature Suite with 2 double beds. However, there may be very few of that room type. When I checked in, it was not available despite the hotel not looking terribly full. They accommodated me in an SLS Suite with a rollaway.

Must've missed it when I clicked on "Last page" and it dropped me down to the last post past 304. Thanks.

recent 5 night stay

We were upgraded to a Signature Suite and loved it. Large space with wall between living room area and bed with TVs on each side. The continental buffet is still good quality and more than enough to fill us up each day. The little glasses with fruit are fun but impractical. The tea was good, too. All the staff are friendly and the location is perfect for shopping this time of year.
