Confirming above- Plat or Titanium get the Continental breke arrival choice & the buffet is a $10 upgrade. The Continental is a choice of 4 selections which could include hot eggs.
Here now for a week, we did get an upgrade to a one bedroom villa with a kitchen, & its not by the main (noisy) pool but next to the 'quiet' north pool. Casino tables are open 4pm to 4am. April rates are more than 100$ a night less than March rates + the savings on the tax's which is about 25%. Food tax's are only 12% here. Nice Tuesday 5-6 pm Elite cocktail reception , wine & finger food served with management of Oh good sports bar across street is 'Uncle Fats' with local micro brewery beer |

We spent a week at this hotel last summer, and were not really impressed. They did upgrade us to an "oceanview" (see below) room. The AC had two settings, off and super cold.

There is a grocery store across the street from the hotel, as well as a couple restaurants. All better than the hotel (apart from the surprisingly amazing poolside pizza, and the weekly buffett) There are several more restaurants on the beach about 10 mins walk as you turn left from the hotel. To those missing the Tuesday "reception" - you are not missing that much.... |
When I booked this hotel (called Marriott directly since I was using points and was unsure how to use Suite Nights) they told me that 5 days before arrival I would get an email asking which type of suite I wanted. Today is 5 days before. No email.

Then you would get an email at 5days out saying the system is trying to apply the SNAs, which it will retry up to 1 day in advance, and if successful, you will get an email saying you've been upgraded (you will have to go find the stay online to see what you actually got upgraded to). If it's not able to clear your SNA request, you will get an email 1 day in advance saying it couldn't apply the SNAs and that they've been returned to your account. |
We will be staying at the Vacation Club on points starting April 20. I’ll be sure to update on any perks received as LTP (oh... LTT). Im very much looking forward to it. Kids have never flown before or been out of the country. They have no idea where we are going. Will be nice to vacation with them in a 2 bedroom / 2 bath unit rather than the standard hotel room! |

[/QUOTE] Th SKB airport is not very modern, & expect bags to take about an hour. Taxi van to Marriott is US $ 20. The north pool is very quiet compared to the main pool. |
As Jiatong mentioned, the airport was a cluster. Made it to the hotel a little while ago. Check in for the Vacation Club was a little bit of a mess, but that seems to be bacause several folks rooms were not ready. Ours was! Very nice 2 bedroom 2 bath condo. Amazing view of the ocean. so far, so good! Traveling with the family is different.... I caught myself doing my normal solo routine at times. |
Just stayed here for a week at the end of May. As Plat received a nice upgrade to a ocean view room. Also, I was surprised to find that the GM was giving Plat and above free full breakfast. They gave us a letter to present at the Calypso restaurant. The full breakfast was excellent. My daughter loved the Caribbean chicken stew. The local dish was always the best offering. Although waffles, eggs, bacon and sausage were good too. They were also great about letting us get any espresso beverage we wanted as well. Great stay over all and would return. |
Any comments about the property itself? Other than rankourabu's recent review all I see is discussion about perks and benefits over the past year plus. I understand the value of those and the issues with Bonvoy supplying what is expected, but how about a report about the pool, the beach, the quality of the room (furnishings, bedding, etc) and dining options and general service levels of the property

Impressed with staff
Went to the Marriott St Kitts in May. Staff was outstanding. EVERYONE at the hotel was aware of my status and all continuously thanked us for our loyalty, including the restaurant staffs at every meal. Nice upgrade. Room was extremely comfortable and bed was great. Restaurants were all very good. No problem with any of the facilities. As mentioned previously there is a small grocery store across the street, which we used several times. Found the resort met our needs nicely and will definitely return.

We staying at the property now. Overall it is a very nice and everyone that we have come in contact has been very polite. The room is very clean and the AC seems to work well, my wife loves the large tub. The resort has a very large beach area but the water seemed a little rough for swimming. We haven't had time to visit any of the on site restaurants yet. We are here on a points reservation (old travel package certificate). I did call before we arrived and tried to use my SNA. I was told that I couldn't use the SNA certs at this property. I am a LTTE member with Marriott. I don't feel that our room was upgraded at check in, however I didn't push the issue. We did not receive an ocean view room. We did receive free continental breakfast vouchers, if we would like to upgrade to the FULL buffet we can pay $9.00 per person per day. I see recent posts that say some people received free full buffet vouchers, I guess they stopped offering this perk. We are Globalist members at Hyatt and feel like we receive more perks for our loyalty with their program.

I completed one week stay.
Here is the current continental breakfast order sheet. They allowed some substitutes, for example, you can request scrambled eggs rather than hard boiled eggs. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...a0a854e9e2.jpg Overall, we enjoyed our week at the hotel. Since we were using points, we were given a garden view room. No ocean view room was available (that matched our room request). Then next day, we were upgraded to an ocean view. |
