I can refer the SPG Amex personal card. Send me a PM if you need a referral.

Thanks, new guy. I think we got the picture a few days ago.

We all want these lucrative referrals. Make some valuable posts, and people will seek you out. It takes some time, but it's the way. Provide info, and you will be rewarded.

Just received an e-mail: "You have received credit for 5 nights and 2 stays toward SPG® elite status¹ just for having The Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express." ^

I've had the card for less than a year; I don't recall getting the nights and stays when I got the card. Is this only a January thing?

Works every year, and x2 if you have biz and personal. I got the email too recently. Not sure if I've gotten it in the past, but the stays and nights are always credited.

I apologize. I understand that there is a certain etiquete on FT and I'm still learning it. I was just looking to have a more current post since there are thousands in here.

That being said, the SPG Amex info is already on FT and on the web, and I think it's safe to assume that anyone looking for this card already knows what the details are.

My post was respectful, short, and to the point and doesn't harm anyone. If anyone doesn't find it useful, move on to the next. So please don't censor me or lecture me on how to write. Yes, I'm new to FT and I haven't contributed much yet, but I'll be happy to the moment I learn of good deals out there. There's no need to be condescending by calling me "new guy".

Wrong. You're spamming the forum. You need to stop.

I've already stopped. Read my prior post. I have an issue with being talked down to, not with the way FT is being maintained or operated. Not gonna post something like that again. We're done with this.

So....back to the regularly scheduled program....

I don't think I've ever got an email stating I got the nights/stays, they just show up on SPG.com. No, it's not just a January thing, it's whenever you sign up for the card, then each subsequent January.

Try not to take too much offense, there is a section where you can solicit referrals via posts: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/s-p-m-2/

They just sent out an email to promote the benefits of the cards.

I too received a similar email and this is the first time I have received this email (bonus) in the 10 years I have used this card. Last year I did 70 nights at SPG, and my wife and I wondered if it was because of the 70 SPG nights.

It certainly makes qualifying again easier.

I received the same email. It is automatic if you have the card. Should show on your SPG online account.

10K points per referral, must apply by 2/13

Not sure where to post this (mods please move around if necessary) but figured everyone would want to know that when I log-in to my AMEX account I am getting a promo for 10,000 SPG points per referral that gets completed by 2/13/2012. So for those of you that are getting friends and family to sign up for a referral, go through the link on your account to get double the referral points.

*My bad, just read that this has been said a few posts up, please delete.

Thank you for the heads-up. Just signed up for this offer.

I hesitate to even post this for fear of offending the spamming police!

not sure if this is the right thread. Of course can be moved.

It has now been 14+ weeks since reaching the spend requirement for the extra 20k points from the 30k point offer. T&C reads 8-12 weeks. I have sent numerous secure messages. They acknowledged that i reached the spend back in October. Last note was that they are checking with the promo desk and will get back to me. It has now been 5 days since i recv'd this note. I obviously reached the spend as they now. Slow motion for points to post and slow motion in handling these inquires. In my experience, no one has taken longer or required more requests for promised bonus points to post than Amex.:td:

You'll get it, however you'll have to wait until your next statement. At least that's was the case with me.

If you don't get it, try filing a complaint with the BBB. When I've had to use it it has worked most of the time. Also, it wouldn't hurt asking for additional points just for the inconvenience/delay. Doesn't hurt to ask.
