Sure - got upgraded to a suite with two queen beds on the top floor, which was nice since I was with my dad.
Breakfast was included in a buffet on the 2nd floor - lots of great food and both western and eastern varieties. It got a bit boring after the 3rd night, but it's pretty amazing value.
Lounge is on the top floor and has a nice deck overlooking the street. They have ok apps and drinks in the afternoon, but I didn't eat too much of it.
Location is amazing, within walking distance of some great sight seeing. They do tai chi in the morning across the street, which is cool. Theres an amazing pedestrian's street/ food area just behind the hotel that I definitely ate way too much at. Highly recommend trying a lot off the street vendors there.
Hotel itself was a bit dated, but comfortable enough - and I didn't stay in the room too much due to the great location.

Anyone stay here recently? I'm considering a stay in a couple of weeks. Cost is 3k points or 1.5k points $30. Basic rooms go for CNY 696, but I could get a club room for CNY 699. I have the amex spg card, but no stays or status beyond that. For 3k points it seems like a solid redemption correct?

I haven't stayed recently but it is a reasonable hotel but more 4* quality. A club room for 699 would seem very good value. It is one street off the main tourist street for shopping and restaurants and has a good river frontage.

Looking further at it I don't really understand. They have basic rooms with king sized bed but you can only redeem points on a room with two single beds? So I can not get an award stay at this property for a king sized bed in a regular room or a cash/points stay for the same? That seems kinda like garbage. Will they open up king sized beds to rewards as the stay date approaches? Not sure I want to spend points redeeming for a twin bed.

Just as an FYI, bedding types and smoking preferences are not guaranteed on standard award reservations; however, the hotels will do everything in their power to fulfill your requested preferences.
