Yeah, got a paltry 25% bonus offer so that was a HARD PASS.
Just for fun, looked up what it was going to cost me for 35k points...enough for a stay at a property I visit often...was going to be something like $350 USD + tax...equivalent cash price at the property I stay at regularly is $208 - 256 CAD with tax...so don't really see any value in this for anyone but Marriott.

Right on.
Well, Marriott can claim they keep on having bonus offers.
(Earlier this year we were travelling in Asia, and made quite a few bookings in Marriott hotels in Asia. I then received a bonus offering of staying in Ontario Courtyards get some bonus points. Well I was not in Ontario, I was in Asia.)

45% bonus offer on points purchases of 10k+ or 35% bonus under 10k... so 145k points is $1,250.
So for my promo they are selling points at 0.862 cents per point.

So for a 35k point redemption that works out to $312.20 USD...how many 35k properties realistically are going to run you more than $312.20 USD? Not a lot that I can think of...so again, this is no deal, nothing to see here...

Also up to 45%
I got the same offer. The value isn’t awful, but I wouldn’t do it unless I was short of a high value redemption, which as of now, I am not. By comparison, the various sites that do their own valuations usually put Marriott points at between 0.7 and 0.85 cents.

don’t forget you get min 10% maybe 15% back depending on status and credit card points (depends how you value them) so it actually needs to be a c$350-375 hotel.

I had a 50% bonus so I did the max 100k points and got 50k bonus and used them to book two nights at the Westin Bora Bora in December to go along with two nights at St Regis.

25 percent here. Will pass as had already bought some using 40 percent bonus earlier in year. I do find some good redemptions. Booked 10 nights in AC Veracruz last year for 63000 points total over Xmas. Saved 1250 USD on the cash price for those dates. Sure, it's not a big resort or anything, but the actual cost saving made well worth it. Breakfast for two included as plat at time.
