I am planning a Nagoya trip and noticed not much coverage on this hotel (opened 2022). Has anyone stayed here? I am considering Marriott Associa (great location, but hotel looks tired), TIAD (brand new, looks good!) and this one.

Perhaps a lurker can provide an email address of this hotel so I can also inquire about Titanium benefits?

Thanks.

I was in a similar position as you to choose one of these three hotels for my last night in Japan over Xmas. We ended up staying at the Marriott Associa, and did not regret it. Loved the hotel for its great and convenient location at Nagoya Station.

I just completed a stay at the Courtyard Nagoya as Titanium and can confirm that there is no free elite breakfast offered.

I chose a 1,000 per person dining credit and had to top up another 1,000 per person for breakfast. Additionally, the hotel charges 100 per additional bottle of water.

There were several other issues with the hotel, such as assigning me a room with someone else's belongings inside. I find it hard to recommend this hotel.

This is a change from a stay that Mrs. Majuki and I had in December 2022. I don't know if previously it was a promotion, but we had a breakfast benefit during our previous stay. I checked in last night, and I was also offered the 1,000 restaurant voucher as one of the options. You can combine this with a 2,000 elite pricing - uncertain if this is promotional - for the breakfast for a 1,000 price. With the USD exchange rate and room rate I got during the sakura bloom, I'm not really complaining.

It's a bit unfortunate that I'm already starting to see some wear and tear on the furniture in the rooms and stains and such on the carpet in the hallway. During our previous stay things were still pristine.

Is there a lounge for elites? I know some Courtyards in Asia have them.
I see there is something called The Lounge via a Google search, but that looks like a bar/restaurant.

No, there is no lounge. The Lounge is the name of the lobby bar. Crust is the restaurant next door where the breakfast is.

I emailed the hotel and got some more info:

We don’t have executive lounge in our hotel. We have lounge, but it is not complementally, we provide alcohol and food and sweet.

Platinum members benefit is below. You can choose one of them.

*500 points

*1000yen restaurant credit

*1 drink and appetizer

*Bottle of sparkling wine or red wine or premium juice

*cake set at the lounge

Breakfast is 3700JPY, but we offer 2000JPY for platinum elite member if you apply upon arrival.

Also if you choose 1000yen restaurant credit, you can eat breakfast with 1000JPY.

1,000 isn't bad, but a big reason I maintain platinum status is for a free breakfast for two (and lounge access). Here those benefits are watered down/non-existent.

I believe the 1000 F&B is the only daily benefit among the above options. The rest are one time, so on a multiple night stay it is a clear choice unless you already have meals included.

Any upgrade tales here? What are my chances of scoring a suite as a Platinum at the end of December?
