Yes, as soon as I posted my first message in this thread. Currently its all being reviewed and I've been promised a reply by Monday 12 June.

I think the hotel messed it all up passing my reservation over to another guest, who apparently paid for it (according to the person at Marriott). Not sure if that guest knows yet or not.

So I was thinking of letting go the two nights and leaving my balance on 31 instead of 33 nights. But since then they reduced my night count to 29.

It sounds like they think you had an overlapping stay as per the invoices (May 3-6 and May 4-6) so will only give you credit for one of the stays. If they refunded you the points for one of the stays already, then you already stayed for free for at least some of the nights. Are the points that were refunded to you worth more to you than the elite night credit? If so, I would let it go.

My stays were 3-5 May and 5-6 May.

I was about to let it go but I am now on less nights than I started with. I was on 30 when the episode started. It went up to 31 when I was credited for one night (where points were taken). So I did not go up to 33. But now I am on 29.
