I think I will be as close as I ever will be at the end of this year - I've got another 17 nights booked I think. Don't think I'll make it much past halfway on the spend though. And in future I doubt there will be as many bonus nights, so will be aiming for Platinum.

That's weird - are Marriott waiving the nights requirement for requalifying Ambassadors? I am at 69 nights and it says "0 nights + 5K spend to Ambassador" for me.
Possibly the usual Marriott IT glitch...

I was about half way to hitting the renewal ambassador spend level at the mid year point and had plenty of nights, but it is in no way worth it to pursue Ambassador unless organically hitting it.
Instead, I stayed at a Hyatt when it was more convenient, and rented a couple condo units for some longer stays for a better (and less expensive) experience for other trips.
Have life time Titanium anyway, and will be whatever level is below Ambassador as well. Not gonna miss it at all.

119 nights and $16,277 in spend. I've switched to Hyatt to lock up Globalist then will probably be able to hit Ambassador. Not like I derive any value from it.

That is actually impressive... I've already hit 101 EQNs at $8k so I'm not going to be making Ambassador at 20k and after experiencing dismal and meager recognition as an Ambassador...It's not worth going out of my way to get it.

Hotels at an average rate of $79/night are generally not known for their Ambassador recognition.

I'm at around 300 nights (bonus nights included) and roughly at about 21k. I don't have an exact because I am currently at a hotel and thay have not zeroed my bill in about 3 months.

do I win any prize?
Not renewing Titanium for next year. I have one stay at Marriott property so far in the 2H of 2022.

76 nights and $10,408 in spend. I have 18 nights (about $5K in spend) booked. I'm not sure if I'll push for Ambassador. I have had it since it started with SPG but find it pretty worthless compared to Platinum or Titanium. I will requalify for Hyatt Globalist and have been seeing better and better experiences there (amazing upgrades to Presidential suites, lovely welcome amenities, etc.).
