Paid 145
Redeemed 2
Promotional 44
Credit Card 30
Total Nights 221
Spend $36k+
All but 2 nights were my own money. And to think that I got the second credit card a couple of years ago to make sure I'd get Titanium. I doubt I'll requal next year for Ambassador, so next year may be my last, but who knows?

118 Nights, 78 paid
2 Redeemed
30 Card
8 Promo
$15k spend
I started a job in July that put me on the road warrior path. $12k of my spend was August-onward. I was an Ambassador pre-covid and found it overrated for my travel patterns. I'm not sure if I'll "try" to make it this year vs spread a few nights around when it serves my purpose (for example, my last trip had a two night stay in a Kimpton because it just didn't matter). I also dropped a card this year when DL made their changes because I reevaluated life.

Ending they year with 84 nights and $14,528. Not requalifying and totally fine with it. My personal ambassador was mediocre at best. Upgrades were not much better or more frequent than Titanium. No point in trying to requalify. I spent more nights at Hilton this year and had better service and upgrades as a Diamond in their program.

Qualified for the second year. Frankly, it doesn’t make a difference and I don’t chase it. I’m a lifetime Titanium so my loyalty is towards service of the property rather than the brand. Sadly the Ambassador status has proven useless. Unlike the SPG concierge where the staff were amazing, effective and most importantly had a grip over properties.

Just found out I get to keep my AMB status for up to three more months. The app says it can take up to the end of March to reflect any status changes. Since I know I'm short on the spend (less than $1K) but way over on nights I still don't expect to make it at all. But it means all the stays I've booked in January so far will still see my AMB status until Marriott decides to change it. Thanks, Marriott. I will continue to expect nothing from this useless program...

With that extra 17k spending, you could get another loyalty program that use spending to attain elite tier as back up.
