Stone Mountain Inn, GA [Master Thread]

Has anyone been to Stone Mountain Inn? It is listed as a Marriott but not available on any date. Same with the nearby Atlanta Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort. Are they leaving?

Currently, Stone Mountain Inn has limited availability through the end of July.

Currently, Atlanta Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort has availability every night through the end of July.

In both cases, "For stays after July 31st, please call the hotel directly regarding availability."

It's good to see that Marriott will no longer be associated with Stone Mountain.

Thank you. I was checking August/September and couldn't find anything available.

Why? Are they both horrible properties? Can you elaborate?

The giant carving at Stone Mountain is controversial, as is the history of Stone Mountain. Most American companies would not want to be associated with such a controversial place.

FlyerTalk's Marriott Bonvoy forum is not the right place to debate this controversy. You can Google it for more information.

Marriott won't be operating that hotel going forward. "Stephen's report also announced that Marriott is leaving the park in 2022."
